Nadia is the Head of our Application Technology Laboratory at Surfachem Deutschland. We caught up with her to find out more about her role, and what the future looks like for the laboratory.
Tell us a bit about your current role at Surfachem Deutschland
I love my job as it combines a bit of everything. I work across our international teams with a range of different departments. From technical research to helping customers, I like the variety of my job. Working with the English and French laboratories has been really positive for my learning and professional development – I find the work across the Group inspiring!
What excites you about working in the laboratory?
The chance to be creative and try the latest innovative ingredients within the industry excited me. Formulation something that truly works and meets the requirements of the customer is a great achievement for me.
What does an average day look like for you?
There is no typical day at the Surfachem Deutschland lab. Formulation testing, aligning with sales colleagues, customers and suppliers and sharing project ideas across Surfachem are just some of the things I get up to. In addition to Personal Care, I am increasingly exploring home care formulations and trying new things within this sector.
What do you think the future will look like longer-term for the laboratory?
I see the lab in Germany further developing our formulation expertise, delivering more projects and with more people working on them. Overall, I believe our lab will become integral to the Surfachem Group and support international growth.
