Ingredient Focus: Peptilift
Glutathione (GSH), the skins most abundant antioxidant, is vital for defending cells against oxidative stress. We saw how important GSH is for the skin, so we made sure to use a biomimetic peptide which is delivered through a GSH carrier system.
Kalichem’s Peptilift® is a cosmetic active ingredient developed by Kalichem. It is a biomimetic peptide designed to mimic the activity of the skin’s natural beta-endorphins.
In simple terms:
- It works by interacting with opioid receptors in the skin, which are involved in comfort, relaxation, and stress response.
- In skincare, Peptilift is commonly positioned as a skin-comforting and smoothing peptide, often associated with relaxing facial tension and helping skin appear more relaxed and youthful.
- It is typically used in anti-aging, soothing, and stress-relief skincare formulations.
Importantly, Peptilift is a cosmetic ingredient, not a drug. It does not act like actual endorphins but is engineered to biomimic certain signaling effects at the skin level.
